The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/ Douglas County (CAC) is offering the same informative “All About Art” Open House that is offered every year, we’re simply changing the way it is done. Every June the public is invited into the historical 8652 Campbellton center to meet the instructors and learn more about the workshops and classes we offer. This Summer we are making it possible for you to view our schedule of classes from the comfort of your home! Join us Saturday, June 6 on our social media platform to conveniently learn about classes and workshops offered by the CAC, see video demonstrations, and meet the instructors.
On Saturday, June 6, come at your convenience to our Virtual Open House on our Facebook page and tour the array of classes we provide. Meet our instructors and easily request more information at the ease of your fingertips from the convenience of your device. The CAC will be available to answer any questions on social media or email brittany.gilbert@artsdouglas.org.
Latisha Johnson returns with whimsically themed cupcake decorating workshops. There are portrait classes to let loose your identity, crocheting, and painting parties for every month. Keith Wilson and Joseph Falligan continue their classic drawing studies with anatomical studies, figurative design, illusion drawings and so much more. Elizabeth Mobley brings a line-up of glass workshops that can be registered for as a series, giving you the opportunity to study various techniques in depth. And joining us for the first time this season is the exciting “Crafters Table” taught by our anticipated April Wilkerson, with opportunities for younger children as well as teenagers – April Wilkerson will have different activities for every session, teaching your children to think of the world as their canvas and live outside the box in everything they do.
If you’ve been contemplating registering for a class or don’t know where you’d want to start, this is the ticket! And the ticket is free and open to anyone. Watch video demonstrations and catch sneak peeks of what we offer. This is our behind-the-scenes show, free to you, with hands-on learning from our CAC crew and interactive opportunities for fun. Bring your spouse, bring your kids, or just kick back and scroll to find your perfect diversion, investment, or craft. Be a part of local community creativity and fun, think about signing you and your family up for the Arts Center’s classes, and let us guide you to making the choice of which fits you best.
