The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, an annual favorite since CAC’s earliest days, is a fun and creative opportunity for children, ages three to ten years old, and families to have an interactive experience, based on Lewis Carroll’s classic, Alice in Wonderland. It is only $15 ($10 CAC members) per person. Not a CAC member? Join the CAC family at https://artsdouglas.org/membership/.
The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party will be held outdoors on the grounds of the CAC where families can play flamingo croquet, join in a musical sing-a-long or in a storytelling session, participate in an egg hunt, pin the grin on the Cheshire Cat, be a star with Words in Motion, enjoy the photo booth, face painting, coloring fun and be creative while decorating a cookie to eat at the tea party.
To spark adult creativity as well, adults are encouraged to wear their best spring bonnets, and prizes will be awarded for the most creative and original hats worn. Children are reminded to bring baskets to collect their eggs at the egg hunt. The Cheshire Cat will wear a grin, the Mad Hatter will serve tea, and, knowing him, the White Rabbit will probably be late.
A portion of the proceeds goes to support Partners in Education in Douglas County Schools.
