The CAC Docent Club is the volunteer organization of the Cultural Arts Council – new members are always welcomed.
Our “Docents” answer the phone, register students for art classes, take reservations for upcoming events, answer questions about our community for visitors and tourists, provide information on our exhibitions and historic house, help with mailings and program promotions, and generally assist the staff with everyday operations of the Cultural Arts Council. Docent Club members are asked to commit a minimum of one volunteer shift of three hours each month; most also volunteer at our special events throughout the year.
Volunteers assist the CAC during community events throughout the year. From Taste of Douglasville to Hydrangea Festival, and Chili Cook-Off, CAC volunteers help set up, assist vendors, and best of all… Volunteers act as the smiling face that guests see when they arrive at any of our events. by answering Frequently Asked Questions, and Selling Tickets, Volunteers are the lifeblood of our nonprofit.
The CAC is hosting the next Volunteer Luncheon on Friday, February 9th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
