We are always looking for local crafters/artists to sell their creations in our monthly Pop Up Arts Shop. Spots are filled two years out, but there are sometimes opportunities for new applicants to participate sooner in the case of cancelations.
The Pop Up Arts Shop is the place for amazing one-of-a-kind gifts created by local artists. Each month the CAC features a different artist that works with varying mediums. All items must be priced under $75. Marketing and point-of-sale are handled by the CAC. So, participation is easy for artists.

The CAC’s Pop Up Arts Shop Welcomes Artist Penelope Davis
Douglasville GA – Every month the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) features the artwork of a local craftsman in the Pop Up Arts Shop. The CAC strives to connect the Douglasville community to affordable, locally created products, and is proud to welcome acrylic and mixed media artist Penelope Davis as August’s featured local creator! Specializing in a wide variety of original mixed media paintings, her works are both eye-catching and beautiful.
Penelope is a self-taught artist who has been painting for over 35 years. She enjoys painting, drawing, and card making. She is originally from South Carolina and now resides here in Georgia. Her favorite images to paint are whimsical faces and florals, but she finds inspiration in a wide variety of subjects.
While acrylic paint is her medium of choice, by working with mixed media, she combines her love of paper and paint to create interesting effects in the backgrounds of her work. Ms. Davis says, “My work is influenced by fashion, nature, and just everyday life.” A curated selection of Penelope’s works will be featured in this month’s Pop Up Arts Shop. Locals can follow the CAC on social media to see a gallery of her creations
and purchase her pieces from home.
