The CAC Seeks Vendors, Sponsors, and Performers to Bring Cultural Flavor to Douglasville

MCF 2025 PhotoDouglasville GA – The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC,) the team that organizes each year’s Taste of Douglasville Festival, is seeking artists, craftspeople, food vendors, performers, and sponsors to participate in the 5th annual Mosaic Multicultural Festival. This vibrant celebration of diverse cultures is set to take place on Saturday, September 12th, from 11 am – 4 pm at the historic Cultural Arts Center building and grounds, located at 8652 Campbellton St.

The Mosaic Multicultural Festival began as a supplement to the annual Taste of Douglasville festival.  The annual foodie fling sees a crowd of over 12,000 visitors each May, generating interest in the community and driving local business.  Community members felt that a similar event with a focus on heritage and culture would be a welcome addition to the local calendar.  The CAC responded by creating a thoughtful, slightly smaller event which occurs in the more relaxed atmosphere of their historic headquarters. The event has grown in the past four years, and the fifth annual Mosaic Multicultural Festival is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, with new features including a University of West Georgia Archeology Corner, featured student clubs selling products, and other surprises.

The goal of the Mosaic Multicultural Festival is to represent the tapestry of cultures that form the Douglas County community. Vendor registration has been opened on the CAC website and interested businesses have already begun to apply.  This celebration is designed to be both a lot ofMMCF Photo Indian Dance fun, and an opportunity to appreciate the diverse bounty of food, art, music, and dance that our town can produce thanks to its unique blend of cultures.

The CAC is proud to be a point of convergence for these many facets of our region; a reflection of Douglas County’s vibrant mosaic of cultures. At the Mosaic Multicultural Festival guests are given a passport and are asked to match each culture/country to the correct vendor for a prize. This provides both excellent guest circulation and an educational experience for visitors. To ensure variety and ease, vendors do not need to represent their own culture/country. The CAC recommends choosing a culture/country that is of special interest to you that will also be fun for guests. In the past, Iceland, Antarctica (it’s a very specific culture), Black Western Culture, and more have been featured. Once a country has been selected, no other vendor can choose it. So, vendors should apply quickly to reserve their desired country.

There are many ways to participate, and vendor fees range from $25 for a roaming badge to $50 for food vendors. Selected performers pay no fees. Sponsorships are also available ranging from $300 bronze sponsorships to $1,500 platinum sponsorships. So, it’s a very reasonably priced alternative to other fall festivals. All participants receive digital and print media leading up to the event. All booths are required to represent a culture or country at the festival, except for food vendors. This is an excellent opportunity for local organizations and businesses to connect with an engaged segment of locals while having a good time doing it. Applications are due by July 31st.
