Summer is a Time for Creativity with the CAC’s Art Classes!

Douglasville, GA – The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) is proud to unveil their Summer Arts Camp, classes, and workshops for May, June and July 2025. Art classes and workshops are a great way to discover new hobbies like sewing, improvisation, musical theater, painting, and much more. Classes range from beginner through intermediate levels, and there are options for all ages. All classes are held at the Cultural Arts Center located at 8652 Campbellton St. and are taught by passionate, local artists. In addition to classes, the CAC offers a June Summer Arts Camp for children aged 7-11 to keep them energized and creatively engaged during their time away from school. To get started visit the CAC’s website at artsdouglas.org.

In honor of summer, the CAC has curated a wide variety of classes including a musical theater workshop, an independent music crash course, candle making, dancercise, a mini women’s retreat, a Mother’s Day sip and paint, beginner and intermediate sewing, and so much more. Classes at the CAC bridge the gap between the talented, local instructors and those who want to learn from them. Classes are constantly added so it’s important to check back often.

The CAC’s popular Summer Arts Camp returns to Hunter Park on June 2-6. From 9 am to 4 pm. Children aged 7-12 will be treated to many different creative modalities during the week, learning everything from painting and sculpture to acting.  The CAC’s Summer Arts Camp is an excellent way to keep your child active and creatively engaged during their break from school. The CAC works hard to make sure their camps are accessible to all community members. Scholarships are available, and prices are reasonable, thanks to the generosity of sponsors and members of the CAC. Registration can fill up fast. So, parents are encouraged to apply early to ensure a spot.

Don’t miss out on any of the creative fun! Summer classes are now underway at the CAC. From DIY projects to beginner workshops to our popular camps, the fun ramps up when the weather gets hot. Call the CAC at (770) 949-2787 or visit artsdouglas.org to get started.
