Cultural Arts Council Announces Quarterly Volunteer Luncheon on May 8

Douglasville, Georgia – The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) is pleased to announce its upcoming Volunteer Luncheon, taking place Friday, May 8th, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the historic Cultural Arts Center, located at 8652 Campbellton Street, Douglasville, GA 30134. 

This quarterly gathering celebrates current volunteers and welcomes community members interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities at the CAC. Attendees will enjoy a hosted lunch, an informational session about volunteer roles, and a handson creative activity. 

“Volunteers are the heartbeat of the CAC,” said executive director Emily Lightner. “They help us serve the community, support the arts, and keep our programs thriving. This luncheon is a chance for anyone curious about getting involved to see how meaningful and fun volunteering can be.” 

CAC volunteers play an essential role in daily operations and community engagement. Responsibilities may include Greeting visitors and answering phones; Registering students for art classes; Assisting with event reservations; Sharing information about exhibitions and the historic RobertsMozley House; Supporting mailings, promotions, and administrative tasks. 

Volunteers may also assist with the CAC’s signature annual events, including The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, the Chili Cookoff, the Taste of Douglasville festival, and more.
