Hydrangea Festival was a Blooming Fun Time!

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) is excited to be a part of the 15th annual Penny McHenry Hydrangea Festival and Garden Tours held on June 3rd from 10 am to 5 pm. The CAC will be hosting an Artist & Food Market at the Cultural Arts Center, located at 8652 Campbellton St. Douglasville GA. Guests will have the chance to explore talented local artists and eat tasty local eats! Admission to the event is FREE!

The CAC had over 20 booths to walk through at the Artist & Food Market. Guests enjoyed grabbing a savory meal at Williams Street Food, and trying out “Real Smooth Getaway” and their smoothies, and ice cream! Even the 2023 Taste of Douglasville “Best Dessert” Winner: Frios Gourmet Pops was in attendance! After that, explore local artists showcasing everything from paintings, clothing, jewelry, treats and so much more. Continue the fun by visiting the Wynn building right next door to get your tickets to the Garden Tours.

The Hydrangea Festival transforms the town into a mesmerizing display of plants, foliage, and most importantly… Hydrangeas!  As hydrangeas bloom across Douglasville, artists from the local area will display their works in various mediums, including paintings, sculptures, and installations inspired by these exquisite flowers. These are all on display at the Douglas County Museum of History & Art during the plant show. From the plant show to decorated mailboxes throughout the county, the Hydrangea Festival always fills Douglas County with springtime spirit! Learn more at www.hydrangeafest.org
