Douglasville GA – Every month the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) features the artwork of a local craftsman in the Pop Up Arts Shop. The CAC strives to connect the Douglasville community to affordable, locally created products, and is proud to welcome Sheila Hankins of Sheila’s Signature Selections as September’s featured artist! Specializing in upcycled, faith-based, jewelry items, Sheila is a local favorite, known for both the high quality and unique look of her creations.
Sheila Hankins participated in the corporate world for almost 25 years at which point she decided to become her own boss and design a jewelry line called “Sheila’s Signature Selections.” Her business, which she launched in 2016, is a faith-based, handcrafted jewelry line consisting of men’s and women’s earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. Sheila’s specialty is creating new masterpieces from old or broken jewelry. It is her vision to continue to evolve her products as she learns new skills, encounters new trends, and receives feedback from her customers.
Sheila’s point of view comes through in her carefully curated yet diverse product selection, reasonable pricing, and knack for blending the old and the new. As a business-minded woman who also produces artistic merchandise, Sheila’s wearable fashion pieces always carry a shine of professionalism that sets them apart. Sheila Hankins’ Pop Up Arts Shop installation runs from September 3rd through September 30th, 2024.
The Pop Up Arts Shop is the place for amazing one-of-a-kind gifts created by local artists. Each month the CAC features a different artist that works with varying mediums. All items are under $75 so be sure to stop by the CAC for some amazing arts and crafts before they’re gone!
