The CAC Brings Cultural Flavor to Douglasville Again

Douglasville GA – The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC,) the team that organizes each year’s Taste of Douglasville Festival, unveils the much-anticipated 3rd annual Mosaic: Multicultural Festival. This vibrant celebration of diverse cultures is set to take place on Saturday, September 14th, 2024 from 11 am – 4 pm. The Cultural Arts Center, located at 8652 Campbellton St., will open its historic house, grounds, and butterfly garden to welcome all who attend.

The Mosaic Multicultural Festival began as a supplement to the annual Taste of Douglasville festival.  The annual foodie fling sees a crowd of nearly 13,000 visitors each May, generating interest in the community and driving local business.  Community members felt that a similar event with a focus on heritage and culture would be a welcome addition to the local calendar.  The CAC responded by creating a thoughtful, slightly smaller event that occurs in the more relaxed atmosphere of their historic headquarters.

The goal of the Mosaic Multicultural Festival is to represent the tapestry of cultures that form the Douglasville community. Vendor registration has been opened on the CAC website and interested businesses have already begun to apply to showcase their cultures at the festival.  This celebration is designed to be both a lot of fun, and an opportunity to appreciate the diverse bounty of food, art, and performances that our town can produce, thanks to its unique blend of cultures. The CAC is proud to be the point of convergence for the many facets of our region; a reflection of Douglas County’s vibrant mosaic of cultures.

The 2024 festival will bring together a unique array of traditional performances, each selected to provide a window into a specific heritage. A variety of traditional flavors is expected, as food vendors offer both local delights and exotic cuisine, while the artist market will be full of vendors and crafts representing cultures from around the world. Get ready to explore a map of the world right here in Douglasville!
