Our annual National Juried Art Show at the Cultural Arts Center of Douglasville/Douglas County is now accepting submissions. Artists can submit up to three artworks in any medium and the chance to have his or her artwork displayed in the exhibit. The exhibit will run September 3-25 with a reception on September 3, 5-7 pm. Three judges will determine award recipients, with prizes for 1st place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and an Honorable Mention.
A non-refundable entry fee of $40 ($35 for current CAC members) qualifies the artist to submit up to 3 pieces of artwork. Please make all checks payable to the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County.
This year’s jury panel welcomes three Professors from The University of West Georgia: Debrah Santini, a children’s book illustrator who holds an MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst; Perry Kirk, holding an MA in Photography from the University of Notre Dame and BA in Graphic Design from Carnegie-Mellon University; and Ashan Pridgon who holds an MFA from Clemson University.

NJAS 2020 RULES
Artists may submit up to 3 artworks. Artists 18 years and up are eligible to submit original work including, but not limited to, paintings, sculpture, prints, ceramics, drawings, fiber, photography, and glass creations. Film, video, molded or kit items are not eligible for this exhibit, nor will reproductions of artwork be accepted. Artwork must have been completed within the last 2 years and never previously exhibited at the gallery. Nudes and figure studies are acceptable, but images of graphic violence, partisan political agendas, and pornography will not be accepted.
