Youth Art Month 2021

To celebrate the nationally observed program “Youth Art Month,” the Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County shows local youth talent every March by exhibiting artwork from students K-12. This year has been no different! Come view the exhibit until March 19, 2021 and enjoy this virtual tour of the diverse collection. Thank you to all of the families and teachers and students who participated, and let’s continue to celebrate Youth Art Month for years to come! #artsdouglas

The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/ Douglas County calls for young artists in the nationally celebrated “Youth Art Month” Exhibit, to be displayed through March.

Students must be registered by February 18 with program coordinator Brittany Gilbert by email at brittany.gilbert@artsdouglas.org. The Exhibit will be on display March 4- 19. Parents must drop off artwork for display March 1 or 2.

The theme of the exhibit is open ended, and students can choose any art form or medium (painting, drawing, photography, etc.). The artwork must be ready to hang (mounted on mat board for example) and must be labeled with the artist’s: Title, name, age/grade, school/teacher/group.

The CAC excitedly awaits to see the work that youth are hard at work creating. The reception will be celebrated virtually to ensure the safety of the families and our community. We are currently working on plans to make the exhibit special for participants and their families, and will provide updates on our website and social media. So make sure to like us and follow us on our social media platforms!
