Summer Arts Camp
Jun 6 @ 9:00 am – Jun 10 @ 5:00 pm
The CAC is opening Summer Arts Camp registration early. In honor of a Multicultural world and the CAC’s newest festival, “Mosaic: Multicultural Festival” (https://artsdouglas.org/mosaic-multicultural-festival/) the Summer camp theme will celebrate the unity of people throughout the world. The goal of Spring Break Arts Camp is to encourage and reveal the talents of every student to highlight the impact the arts have on young children in developing their creative skills, social interactions, and cultural awareness.
Fees for the week are $135 for the first child ($125 for CAC members) with a $5 dollar discount for siblings. Camp runs from 9 am – 4 pm with an early drop off and late pick up option for an additional fee of $10 each.
During the Summer Arts Camp, artists will work with each student on specific projects within their discipline that reflect and expand on a common theme addressed by all the teachers. The four main artforms that will be explored are 3-D art, 2-D art, Theater, and Music. The camp concludes with a Celebration of Success, in order for families to enjoy a final performance and debut of all of the work the campers work toward through the week.
The CAC continues to implement best practices set forth by the CDC and State guidelines. “ART-portunity” scholarships will be made available to campers by recommendation from their schools. “ART”-portunity scholarships have been graciously donated by The Hud Truck and Kaiser Permanente. We thank you!
The Spring and Summer Break Arts Camp are made possible with the support from the GreyStone Power Foundation. The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/ Douglas County, located at 8652 Campbellton Street Douglasville, Georgia, is open Mondays through Fridays, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  For directions and more information, visit www.artsdouglas.org or contact the Cultural Arts Council at 770.949.2787.

“No Boundaries” Exhibit Reception
Jul 7 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
"No Boundaries" Exhibit Reception

No Boundaries is an exhibit that sets no limits on materials or whimsy, but displays an undeniable ode to nature. The exhibit will be on display July 5-August 23 with a reception on July 7, from 6-8 pm, hosted by Beyond the Front Porch. Come be amazed by the diversity of art among several amazing artists with unique styles: Dan and Mary DeFoor create fine pottery, Manami Lingerfelt plays with paint the way sky plays with clouds,  Heather O’Donnell stitches on leaves, and Kimberly Crowder’s folk art reverberates freedom in flowing color.
