Exhibit: My Sisters Keeper honoring Black History Month
Jan 2 – Feb 23 all-day

In a spirit of sisterly encouragement, and in honor of Black History Month, five artists share their life journeys and deepest hopes through art and the written word. From January 8 to February 23, Monday—Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, the exhibit on display will showcase work by Selma Glass, Martysta Shoemake, Margaret Warfield, Renae R.D. Simmons Walker, and Roxanne Perinchief. Artwork in the collection will communicate spiritual connection, interconnecting pathways of life, the universality of the human condition, and our search for love, hope, and purpose. Above all, the exhibit will express the power of using art to share our voices and stories and to find meaning in our stories, no matter what life brings. Be a part of the experience — share your stories and sisterhood, on Saturday, January 27 from 5-7 pm, at the exhibit reception, hosted by Douglas County Connection.
