A Gala of Fire & Ice: Celebrating the Arts in Style!

The Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) presents its annual Gala and Auction-themed Fire & Ice on Saturday, November 18th at the Douglasville Conference Center starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are still available online at the CAC’s website. Executive Director Emily Lightner states “You’re invited to a night of entertainment and fine dining! The annual Gala & Auction is a chance for the CAC to celebrate the year’s accomplishments and raise funds for a new year of building arts and culture in the community.”

Tickets for the Fire & Ice Gala are available at $135 each while CAC members enjoy a discounted rate of $125. Additionally, tables for groups of 10 for businesses, clubs, and organizations can be reserved for $1,200. Guests of the night will also be treated to an open bar for the first 2 hours during the event. The proceeds generated from ticket sales and the silent auction play a vital role in funding the CAC’s programming efforts. These initiatives aim to develop and inspire an appreciation for the arts, fostering active participation among both Douglasville/Douglas County residents and visitors. The CAC achieves this through an array of art classes, educational experiences within local schools, community events, and exhibits.

What’s in Store for this Year’s Gala?

The auction boasts an enticing selection of items, including popular experiences like tickets to the Atlanta Zoo. Gift cards from local favorites like Gabe’s Downtown are also available through the auction. A diverse range of artwork, spanning from photography and painting to mixed media, has been generously contributed by local artists. Moreover, numerous local businesses have graciously provided gift certificates for their products and curated specialty gift baskets. These temptations present attendees with an opportunity to either indulge themselves or explore early gift options, making this the perfect place to start holiday shopping.
