6×6 Tiny Fundraiser

A Creative Community Tradition – Douglasville’s 6×6 Tiny Fundraiser
Come and Get your Canvas!

This Summer in July and August, the community comes together for one of Douglasville’s best annual traditions, the 6×6 Tiny Fundraiser at the CAC. From city leaders to students in Douglas County schools, everyone can take part in an exhibit showcasing the possibility of all mediums, with the potential for all forms of talent. There’s no telling what will materialize upon the walls of the historical CAC community room.

Available on May 4th, come pick up a free 6×6 canvas and use your imagination to create an artwork to be put on sale to benefit the arts in your community. Be creative in your generosity, and generous in your creativity! The fundraising event is an opportunity to gain notoriety as an artist, to celebrate local artists, to build your own art collection, and most of all to support your local Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County.

Finished canvases are due to the center on July 1 and 2 to be hung for viewing. Each work of art will be sold for $20.00, with all proceeds going back to support the arts, the center, community events, and public family programming.

The opening reception will be celebrated on July 16, 5-7 pm, hosted by Douglas County’s own Rotary Club. Every Thursday during the exhibit, July 16–August 27, join the center from 5-7 pm for mini receptions. Each night will consist of a different fun theme with door prizes and activities.
