$100 (CAC member $90) for the 4-week course buys you 8 hours of one-on-one instruction from a prize-winning artist. There may be preferential material fees during course for advanced students. Tunisian crochet or Afghan crochet is a type of crochet that uses an elongated hook, often with a stopper on the handle end, called an Afghan hook.

Kick back and relax while you learn the age-old practice of working yarn for a calming experience that induces agility of mind and peace of heart. People of all ages can benefit from the self-esteem that the craft fosters for the crafter. Whether experienced or new to the medium, children and adults alike will enjoy the meditative quality of knitting & crocheting, where individuals will make “utilitarian” art – the art you can use everyday.
Crocheting develops strong minds, focus, mathematics, and who knows what else you’ll discover throughout the course.

Follow Yvette Johns through projects and exercises as she guides you not only by hand, but by spirit too, a joy-filled instructor who will meet you where you’re at. You won’t forget your hours with the do-it-all craft lady! By the end of this course you will be on your way to making gifts for yourself and others for the rest of your life.
You might just say you’ll be “hooked”
